Ball & Chain has been on SW 8th Street, Calle Ocho, since 1935, and it is the place to dance to live Latin music in Little Havana. There is a bar inside and the Pineapple Stage on the patio outside, and the band schedule has a theme every night: Mambo Mondays, Bacha Tuesdays, Sabor Wednesday, Miami Boheme on Friday, La Pachanga on Saturday and Salsero Sundays.
It opens at 11:00 for Cuban food and cocktails and runs until 01:00 most nights, 03:00 on Friday and Saturday, and midnight on Monday. Walk-ins are welcome; book for a larger group. Not for you if you want electronic music or a late, dark club.
