Riverside club at Cais da Ribeira Nova for African and Lusophone music: live bands first, DJ sets after, on a floor facing the Tagus.
B.Leza is an institution in Lisbon, a club and concert room built around African and Lusophone music. Nights usually start with a live band and turn into a DJ set, with kizomba, semba, funaná and Afro-house on the floor. The room is large and looks out over the river at Cais da Ribeira Nova, a few minutes from Cais do Sodré station.
People come to dance, and many already know the steps; the club also runs occasional dance workshops if you want to learn first. Friday and Saturday run from 22:30 to 04:00, and Sunday starts early, at 19:00, and finishes at 02:00. Not for you if you want techno: the point here is partner dancing and live rhythm.
Concert nights can be ticketed separately; check the programme before you go.
