The Azotea del Círculo is the roof terrace of the Círculo de Bellas Artes, the arts centre on Calle de Alcalá, 56 metres above the street. It is the classic place to watch the sun go down over Gran Vía and the Metrópolis building, with cocktails by Lucas Anastasio, food by chef Manuel Berganza and a separate martini terrace.
Entry is €6, or €5 reduced, paid online or at the building's reception, and a ticket does not guarantee a table. It opens at 10:00 and closes at 01:30 from Sunday to Thursday and at 02:00 on Friday, Saturday and the eve of holidays, with last entry an hour before closing. Not for you if you want a late night: it is a sunset and first-drink stop.
