Rock and alternative venue on Hampton Street with gigs and late emo, Y2K and pop-punk club nights from 23:00.

Asylum is a rock and alternative venue at 38–43 Hampton Street, on the eastern edge of the Jewellery Quarter. It puts on metal and rock gigs and tribute shows, then runs late club nights, usually on Saturdays and Tuesdays, from 23:00.

The club nights lean on nostalgia and alternative pop: Cigarettes and Eyeliner for indie sleaze and emo, Nickelbrat for dad rock, grunge and hyperpop, and themed parties such as a Monster High Halloween ball. Tickets cost £4–15, and UPRAWR runs the New Year's Eve party. Not for you if you want house or techno: guitars and pop-punk rule here.
