It began as TOY TOY, a weekly techno party that needed a space and found one at Carfax, and it now operates as a separate venue inside the second dance floor of the Carfax building. In Your Pocket describes a nondescript doorway, a minimalist interior with moody lighting and a concrete bar, and a courtyard for a break from the dance floor. Time Out lists it as a multi-room club focused on techno and deep house with a no-phones-or-cameras policy, and the door message is "Phone off. Party on."

Techno Airlines shows TOYTOY on 9, 16 and 23 October 2026 from 21:00 to 06:00 at R100 to R150, and Sub Sequence on 10 October with doors at 21:00 and a close between 05:00 and 06:00 at R150 to R250. A June 2026 listing gives shorter hours of 21:00 to 04:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, so the closing time depends on the night. Not for you if you want to film the dance floor.
