Alcazar Live fills a former cinema on Via Cardinale Merry del Val, just off Viale di Trastevere. It runs as restaurant and music venue in one: you can eat dinner facing the stage, watch a concert and stay for the DJ set that follows. The programme covers soul, funk, jazz and R&B, tribute nights and house and disco residencies, including Toy Tonics Jam and The Disco Express.
It opens Wednesday to Friday from 19:00 and on Saturday and Sunday from 20:00, closing at 03:00. Club tickets cost around €15–18, and the Toy Tonics nights are 18+. Tram 8 runs along Viale di Trastevere, a short walk away. Not for you if you want to dance until dawn: the night here ends at 03:00.
