A for Athens is the rooftop of a 35-room boutique hotel on Miaouli, right on Monastiraki Square. The terrace looks straight at the Acropolis, over Plaka and the square below, and Athinorama counts it among the pioneers of the city's modern generation of cocktail bars and restaurants.
The drinks are run by Agapi Petropoulou's team and the kitchen by chef Kostas Giannakou, and it works all day, from breakfast to late drinks. Table reservations go through its online booking page. Monastiraki metro (L1, L3) is a minute away. Not for you if you want a quiet corner: the view draws a crowd, especially around sunset.
