40 St Paul's is a small gin bar on Cox Street, just off St Paul's Square in the Jewellery Quarter. It has 24 seats and about 140 gins, and it has been named Best Gin Bar in the UK at the Icons of Gin awards and Best Gin Menu in the UK at the Imbibe Menu Awards.
It opens from 17:00 to 23:00 Tuesday to Friday and from 15:00 to 23:00 on Saturday, and it is closed on Mondays. With so few seats, booking is strongly recommended, especially at the weekend. Not for you if you want a loud bar: this is a place for a slow first drink before the Jam House or the Tunnel Club.
