20up is the bar on the 20th floor of the Empire Riverside Hotel on Bernhard-Nocht-Straße, 90 metres above the Elbe, looking straight down on the harbour and the Landungsbrücken piers.
It opens every day at 18:00 and closes at 01:00 from Sunday to Thursday and 01:30 on Friday and Saturday, with last orders half an hour before. The menu is cocktails and long drinks, the dress code is smart casual and tables can be booked online. It is a short walk from the Reeperbahn, which makes it an easy first stop. Not for you if you are dressed for the club rather than the bar.
