When is Sziget 2027 and where is it held?

The festival homepage, the ticket page and the festival-info page all give 10 to 14 August 2027. The site is Óbuda Island on the Danube, a park the organisers call the Island of Freedom. A third-party report on the registration phase, from the Budapest site Budappest, places it in District III and notes it is also known as Shipyard Island.

How much do Sziget 2027 tickets cost?

On 22 October 2026 the official homepage listed three five-day passes, each with a separate handling fee:

  • Five-day Pass: €349 plus €23 handling fee.
  • 21&Under five-day Pass: €279 plus €18 handling fee.
  • VIP five-day Pass: €569 plus €37 handling fee.

The ticket page itself describes passes, accommodation and campsites as the options. The pages checked do not say which price phase the €349 pass belongs to, so check the ticket page for the current phase before you buy.

Which Sziget 2027 sale phases have already happened?

Budappest reports that free pre-registration ran until 23 August 2026 and that a Super Early Bird sale for pre-registered fans opened at noon CET on Monday 24 August and ran until 27 August. In that phase the five-day pass cost €299 plus a €19 handling fee (€318 in total) and the under-21 pass €239 plus €16 (€255). In Hungarian forints the same report lists HUF 109,900 for the general pass, HUF 88,900 for the under-21 pass and HUF 191,800 for the VIP pass, plus HUF 84,900 for Hungarian students with a valid student card via the BudapestGO app. It adds that instalment payment plans would be available and that the organisers described the prices as 10 to 15 per cent below the expected standard sale. These details come from that one article, not from the festival site, so treat them as background.

Can I buy a day ticket or a night ticket?

Yes. According to the festival-info page, a day ticket lets you enter from 08:00 on the day and stay until 08:00 the next day, and consecutive day tickets extend your stay until the last ticket expires. Night tickets are valid from 23:00 until 08:00 the next morning and are sold online and at the Main Entrance and the Boat Entrance. The pages checked do not yet show day-ticket prices for 2027.

What are the age rules at Sziget?

Children under 11 can enter free of charge but need a child wristband, on which an adult writes their phone number and the child's name; bring the child's ID. Children under 14 can only enter and stay with an adult and also need the wristband. Families with at least one child under 11 can use the Family Camping Zone at Siesta Camping, and children under 11 need a registration ticket there. The only age-based pass is the 21&Under pass, whose eligibility rules the homepage does not spell out; Budappest describes it as for people under 21.

How do I get to Sziget from central Budapest?

The festival's travel page lists Wizz Air as official airline partner, MÁV train tickets, FlixBus connections and limited parking near the entrance that must be booked through the ticket page. The EuroVelo 6 cycle route leads to the Main Entrance. For local transport, Time Out Budapest described the 2026 arrangements: the H5 suburban train from Batthyány tér to Filatorigát, extra night trains, more frequent trams on line 6 and night buses 901, 909, 918, 923 and 934. Those are 2026 details, and the 2027 plan has not been published on the pages checked.

Where to go in Budapest before and after Sziget?

Sziget covers the days, so the city fills the gaps. The Budapest nightlife neighbourhoods guide explains where the bars and clubs are clustered, and the Budapest city page lists venues to browse.
