CTM Festival 2027 in Berlin runs 22 to 31 January: the first line-up, named venues, ticket prices and the shows that already have dates.
CTM Festival, Berlin’s January festival for experimental and club music, returns for its 28th edition from Friday 22 to Sunday 31 January 2027 under the theme “Process...ing”. This post covers what the organisers and Resident Advisor have published so far: names, venues, ticket prices and the first dated shows.
For the clubs that host the festival, see the Berlin nightlife guide and best clubs in Berlin.
Facts checked on 22 October 2026. Line-ups, prices, sold-out status and transport plans change, so confirm on the organiser page before you go.
CTM runs for ten days, from Friday 22 to Sunday 31 January 2027. The organisers frame the 28th edition around what “process” means in its different forms, favouring collective making and sharing over finished products. The first-acts announcement came on 16 September 2026, and the programme is described as an ongoing set of collaborations with more names to follow.
Resident Advisor’s festival listing names, among others, 96 Back, A.N.I., aya b2b Secretary, Dis Fig (“What To Make Of These Mortal Hands”), Evil Grimace with Genoël von Lilienstern and Zafraan Ensemble (“Terroir”), Gudrun Gut with Hanne Lippard and Renato Grieco (“Aficionado”), Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith (“Ruin: It’s Not Just Music”), Kali Malone (“Burning Song”), Marina Herlop (“Dja Dja”), NZIRIA and Spekki Webu with Matti Vilho. Listed world premieres include Kuntari and Rully Shabara, Mariana Carrilho (“Flor Do Ibo”), Sainkho Namtchylak with HMOT, Stefan Schultze Distributed Ensemble and Tianzhuo Chen’s “Death by Sun”. Resident Advisor will also run a new programme on independent electronic music communities, with details still to come.
The festival is multi-venue. The listings name Berghain, RSO.Berlin, the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, Haus der Visionäre (Eichenstraße 4a, 12435 Berlin), Morphine Raum and Radialsystem, with the Gedächtniskirche at Breitscheidplatz hosting three dated concerts. “Death by Sun” runs at HAU1 for four consecutive nights alongside the festival, and its ticket sales begin on 1 December. The Friday 22 January opening is listed with the location still to be announced.
CTM says festival passes and selected event tickets are on sale in limited quantities and gives no prices on its own page. Resident Advisor’s festival listing shows a price range of €105 to €220 and mentions festival passes, individual tickets and press accreditation without separating the tiers. Individual shows are cheaper: €40 for Modeselektor, €35 and €28 for the Kali Malone concerts and €35 and €25 for Bára Gísladóttir. The listings do not say which price applies to which ticket category.
Modeselektor present “MDSLKTR and Guests” on Sunday 24 January from 18:00 to 22:00 at Haus der Visionäre, the world premiere of their new album, with opening sets by Kabeaushé and Gudrun Gut. Kali Malone performs “Burning Song” at the Gedächtniskirche on Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 January from 20:00 to 22:00, with Lucy Railton on cello and Stephen O’Malley on acoustic guitar. Bára Gísladóttir performs “Víddir” at the Gedächtniskirche on Friday 29 January from 20:00 to 22:00 with an ensemble from the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
The full line-up, the opening-night venue and club nights beyond the Modeselektor show are still to come. Two listing quirks are worth knowing: the Modeselektor album title is spelled “MDSLKTR” in the event title and “MDSKLTKR” in the description, and the 25 January Kali Malone listing shows a Monday start with a Tuesday end although a separate 26 January listing exists.
