The 10 best clubs in Frankfurt

The 10 best clubs in Frankfurt, ranked: Robert Johnson, Tanzhaus West, Tokonoma Club, Zoom and more, with entry prices, closing times and what each door wants.

7 min read

The best clubs in Frankfurt are not where the bank towers are. The long techno nights happen on Gutleutstraße in the industrial west, where Tanzhaus West and Tokonoma Club run until 08:00, and out east at Zoom in Fechenheim. The best-known room of all, Robert Johnson, is not in Frankfurt at all: it is over the city line in Offenbach, a short S-Bahn ride away.

This list covers the long nights and the easier ones, from Gibson's open-format Saturdays on the Zeil to vinyl disco on the Sachsenhausen riverbank and the Jazzkeller's Wednesday jam. Each entry gives the price where it is published, when it closes, what the door wants and one honest reason to skip it. The basics: doors open between 22:00 and midnight, most nights cost €10–20, and on Friday and Saturday the U-Bahn and S-Bahn run all night.

How we picked

We ranked clubs on five things: sound, crowd, door, late licence and value. Sound means a room built for dancing rather than for photos. Crowd means people who came for the music. Door means you can predict if you will get in, including age rules that change by night. Late licence rewards rooms that run to 06:00 or 08:00. Value compares the ticket with what you get for it. Every club here has events dated autumn 2026 on its own site or on Resident Advisor, and every price, time and address comes from those listings. We do not sell tickets ourselves.

1
House legends over the city line

Robert Johnson

Offenbach, House, Techno

Open since 1999 and still the room Frankfurt's house and techno crowd plans around, with autumn 2026 bookings from Ricardo Villalobos to Rhadoo and Gerd Janson. Electric Friday and Lifesaver Saturday both start at 23:59, and big nights sell out in presale. Skip it if you want to hop between clubs: it is in Offenbach, a separate town.

Tokonoma Club books techno and house most weekends, from Gonno at a Circle x Japan Night to Freddy K for AOS, and its nights run to 08:00 or 09:00. Tickets cost €10–20, which is fair for a night that long. Skip it if you want a short night or a central location.

Pracht runs house nights every Friday and Saturday on Niddastraße, with DJs such as Einmusik, from 22:00 to 05:00. It is a few minutes from Hauptbahnhof and a few doors from Bar Shuka, so it fits an easy Bahnhofsviertel night. Skip it on a Saturday if you are under 21.

Gigs with fifty years' history

Batschkapp

The Batschkapp has been part of Frankfurt's music life since 1976 and marks fifty years in 2026, with gigs most weeks on Gwinnerstraße in Seckbach. Many tickets include RMV travel, and the U4 and U7 stop at Gwinnerstraße. Skip it if you want a late club night: it is a concert venue first.

Worth knowing
Bring cash: only the foyer bar takes cards.
Watch out for
Bags larger than A4 have to go to the paid cloakroom.

Pick one end of the city per night. Gutleutstraße is a double bill: Tanzhaus West and Tokonoma Club are a few doors apart and both run until 08:00. The Bahnhofsviertel and the Innenstadt suit a shorter night, from cocktails at Bar Shuka to Pracht, Gibson or Silbergold, all close to Hauptbahnhof, Hauptwache or Konstablerwache. Zoom, the Batschkapp and Robert Johnson are destinations: you go for the booking and stay there.

Getting around is straightforward at the weekend. On Friday and Saturday nights the U4, U5, U7 and U8, trams 11, 12, 16 and 18 and six S-Bahn lines run all night. During the week, night buses cover the city at least every 30 minutes. A single ticket costs €4.50, and Offenbach is a separate town with its own fare level, so check your ticket for Robert Johnson.

Frankfurt rewards a little planning: buy techno and house tickets in advance, check the age rule before a Saturday at Pracht, and work out how you get to Offenbach before a night at Robert Johnson. If you are still choosing where to drink first, our guide to Frankfurt nightlife by neighbourhood covers the city area by area. Ready to book? Find tickets for upcoming nights on NightFind tickets.
