The 10 best clubs in Copenhagen

The 10 best clubs in Copenhagen for 2026, from techno at Culture Box to house at Den Anden Side and Refshaleøen raves, with closing times, prices and door tips.

7 min read

The best clubs in Copenhagen are spread across three parts of the city, and picking the right one decides your whole night. The old town around Axeltorv and Kongens Have has the late-running techno and house rooms: Culture Box, Den Anden Side and MODULE, all open until 08:00 or later. Across the harbour on Refshaleøen, a former hangar, an engine workshop and a warehouse host the big weekend bookings. Kødbyen and Nørrebro fill the gaps with smaller, cheaper rooms and a hip-hop club.

Doors here are stricter than visitors expect. Many clubs are 20+ and some 21+, several ban photography, and the best-known house club chooses its crowd at the door. Entry runs from 50 kr (€7) at the smallest club to 399 kr (€53) for a headline rave, with 150–195 kr (€20–26) the norm. These are the ten clubs worth planning a night around, with closing times, prices and the catch for each.

How we picked

We ranked the clubs on five things: sound and booking quality, the crowd the door lets in, how hard the door is, how late the night runs, and what you pay for it. Every venue on this list had dated events on its own site or on Resident Advisor for autumn 2026, so they are open now. Prices, age limits and hours come from the venues' own pages and event listings. Where a club runs event by event, we give a recent example night rather than a fixed timetable. Concert halls only made the list where the room is worth building a night around.

1
Techno until 08:00

Culture Box

Indre By, Techno, House, Two rooms

The reference club for techno in Copenhagen: two rooms, Black Box and Red Box, from 22:00 to 08:00 every Friday and Saturday, with international bookings most weekends. It is also one of the few big clubs that lets in 18-year-olds. Skip it if you want house and disco or a room to talk in.

Den Anden Side

Indre By, Deep house, Disco, Two rooms

Two rooms of deep, percussive house and disco on Axeltorv, open from just before midnight until 09:00, with long sets and a crowd that came for them. The awareness team and the no-photo rule keep the floor focused. Skip it if you are a big group or want to film your night.

3
Big bookings in a former hangar

Hangaren

Refshaleøen, Techno, House, Garden

A former hangar on Refshaleøen with a Lambda Labs sound system, a bonfire garden and weekend bookings from melodic house to techno. It feels like a day out as much as a club night. Skip it if you do not want to organise the trip home: there is no metro on the island.

4
Hard techno by Tivoli

MODULE

Indre By, Techno, Hard techno, Two rooms

A techno club across the road from Tivoli with a main room and the smaller Kiosk, running from midnight until 08:00 and booking the harder end of the genre. The timed door prices reward early and late arrivals. Skip it if you want house or disco.

5
Low-cost house on Refshaleøen

Klub Werkstatt

Refshaleøen, House, Electronica

An old engine workshop turned bar and club, with house and electronica from local crews and touring DJs at prices well below the city's big rooms. The community feel is the point. Skip it if you want a polished room or a famous headliner.

6
Headline techno raves

Poolen

Refshaleøen, Techno, Hard techno, Warehouse

A large warehouse on Refshalevej for raves and concerts, booking the biggest names in hard and melodic techno, such as Nico Moreno in October 2026. It is an event, not a club: buy the ticket, plan the trip. Skip it if you want a cheap or spontaneous night.

RUST

Nørrebro, Hip-hop, Concerts

A long-running Nørrebro venue that runs concerts early and turns into RUST Natklub, a 21+ hip-hop club, on Friday and Saturday from 23:00 to 04:00. Drinks are fair for Copenhagen and tickets are sold at the door. Skip it if you are under 21 or want techno.

10
A concert before the club

VEGA

Vesterbro, Concerts, Rock, Hip-hop, Pop

One of the main concert houses in Copenhagen, with Store VEGA, Lille VEGA and Ideal Bar staging around 350 concerts a year. It is here as the best first half of a night: a gig on Enghavevej, then Kødbyen a short walk away. Skip it if you want to dance until dawn.

Worth knowing
Enghave Plads metro (M3) is about three minutes away on foot.
Watch out for
It is a concert venue first, so move on after the show for a late night.

Plan the night by area, not by club. The old-town pair is easy to combine: Den Anden Side and MODULE are a short walk apart around Axeltorv and Vesterport, and Culture Box is a metro ride and a short walk away. Kødbyen works the same way, with Baggen and KB3 a few minutes apart. Refshaleøen is a commitment: Hangaren, Klub Werkstatt and Poolen sit on one road, but there is no metro on the island, so cycle over or budget about 286 kr (€38) for a 10 km taxi at night. Everywhere else, the metro runs all night, every 7–15 minutes after 01:00 on Friday and Saturday. Use the timed prices too: MODULE is 120 kr before 01:00, and three clubs drop to 100 kr after 05:30 or 06:00.
